Why He Matters

Sophisticated and Creative Approach

Michael Burke provides sophisticated legal analysis and advice to companies across the business spectrum. He has represented entertainment and media companies, defense contractors, health care providers (doctors, medical practices and ambulatory surgical centers), real estate developers, personal care and cosmetics manufacturers, food manufacturers, transportation and logistics companies and utility providers.

He is a savvy legal strategist and trusted legal advisor. Michael has unique insights into risk prevention and mitigation, and is an aggressive and effective advocate in business disputes. Adept at identifying creative solutions, he is also a certified mediator.

"Bet the business" litigation calls for special skills, and Michael Burke has demonstrated mastery over novel legal issues as well as common business disputes.  He is regularly consulted by other law firms for advice on legal strategy and ethics matters, and he has advised foreign counsel on American securities and business fraud law.

Mr. Burke is a highly sought after speaker on current issues in business litigation as well as alternative dispute resolution (arbitration and mediation).

On the personal front, Michael is the father of special needs children, and has first-hand experience with the challenges that confront parents advocating for their children. Having navigated those waters, he provides families insight into obtaining needed services, their legal rights and he assists with the IEP process. He currently serves on boards and committees at UCLA's Center for Autism Research and Treatment (CART); Center for Autism and Neurodevelopmental Disorders (CAND) at UC-Irvine; the In STEPPS Academy (non-profit school for autistic children); and the Saddleback Valley Unified School District (advising the school district on delivery of effective programs and services to its 3700 special needs students).
